Privacy Management Training

GDPR is the General Data Protection Regulation, also referred to as Regulation (EU) 2016/679.  It has been created by the European Parliament and Council to strengthen and unify data privacy for EU individuals as well as to regulate the international transfer of their data. It comes into effect on 25th May 2018. The aim of the GDPR is to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches in an increasingly data-driven world that is vastly different from the time in which the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive was first established. Although the key principles of data privacy still hold true to the previous directive, many changes have been proposed to the regulatory policies. This course aims to help you understand the legislation and its potential impact.
